August Goals
August will be a weird month because I'm moving 1,500 miles, moving into a new apartment, and packing up my current apartment. There are a lot of unknown expenses, which I hope to have covered in the $400 set aside for school stuff and $100 for miscellaneous expenses.
I also have a lot to do before I move--packing, purging, saying good byes--and after I move--switching insurance companies, changing my drivers license, unpacking. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed, so I'll make a list!
- Donate stuff to Salvation Army.
- Find Renter's Insurance
- Pack!
- MOVE!
- Change drivers license.
- Change voter's registration
- Change license plate
- Close credit union and chase accounts
- Switch Car Insurance
- Visit local branch of current part time job company

I enjoy your blog. Lots of inspiration on blogger in the self-budgeting aspect of life!
My car insurance company gave me a discount on my condo insurance for having both of them through the same company. I don't know if that applies to renter's insurance, but it might be something to look into.
Good luck with everything! It sounds like you have a VERY full plate this month.
You do have a lot going on, but I have faith that you can get it all taken care of in a timely manner. Best wishes to you for your move.
Good Luck!!
Just a thought... maybe leave your bank accounts open for a while just to make sure you've transferred any auto-debits, direct deposits, and linked accounts (paypal, ING).
For instance, my car insurance is auto-debited every 6 months. That's one I would most likely forget!
Good Luck on everything. I needs Renters insurance too.
all the best with the move, I'm looking forward to reading about your grad school experiences
Good luck with things. Your list reminded me of two things I need to do with my move. Change voter's registration and get renter's insurance.
I have not set any goals for august so this makes me realize I need to get cracking.
Holy cow that's a lot! But it's sooooo exciting :) That's life baby!!
Good luck!!!
I've already accomplished 2, 3, and 8. 7 more to go!
